this is getting funny. allow me to interject my opinion into this traveshamockery.
NFC/IRON/FLA have disagreement over region/constellation/something or other.
NFC/IRON/FLA go to war over said region/constellation/something or other.
Sparta wants to join in, D2 says we dont think you should, because other alliances will join in too. You should just close your borders and stay neutral. Sparta says..thats a good idea.
NFC disbands(after quite a few fights, some POS killing, a weekend of camping and a cynofield incident)...but dont really go very far since most of them join Sparta.(somewhere in here FLA counter hires MC who was gonna work for NFC or something like that)
Sparta instead of staying neutral decides to become NFC extra by assimilating most of the NFC. Then decide to claim said disputed territory knowing that was the cause of the fighting in the first place.
My thinking is they expected D2 to say, IRON/FLA dont attack Sparta because theyre neutral. However D2 says WTF! Why did you just claim the said disputed territory? You guys sort this out because we have 36,000 caracals with 36000x5 light drones to deal with.
IRON/FLA say to Sparta "you need to give back said disputed regions". Sparta says shove it. IRON says oh well, FLA says good grief, MC tell FLA your not getting a refund because weve already bought Seleene and Eyeshadaw some Dread Gurista faction pink lingerie. FLA says well NFC just moved so go shoot NFC extra.
Sparta wonders why D2 doesn't help them out of this cluster fruck. I mean, why would IRON/FLA attack us after we just basically steal the disputed territory from them under the flag of neutrality.
Soon a little bee who has been buzzing around Sparta leaders ears say, Hey were totally domintating D2 it says so on the forums. Wouldn't it be better if we were your friends? D2 cant hurt you if they cant load up in system?
Sparta leaders say...hmm this might work. With ex-NFC/Sparta/Opus plus goonfleet w/ 15 BS 2000 cruisers/frigs and 2015 x 5 light drones. Theyll think twice about messing with us. So Sparta leaders say sure we would like a large serving of honey.
Then North collectively says "WTF"!!!. Pretty much everyone north of Nonni set Sparta as -10. Basically because every alliance (except TCF) in the north has been helped by the "ebil tyrants" d2. Even most of Sparta say um...d2 has helped us forever why would we...whats that big red dot on the map means?
Alektrorigaiphobia which means fear of warp disruptors(sorry couldn't help myself) says theyre gonna help Sparta because Sparta is..well..because the ..um just because they want to. Also they were gonna destroy D2 somewhere in there.
80% of Sparta is wondering how did it come to this. 15% doesn't even want to log in. 4% says more targets ...bring it. 1 % says yeah this was a good idea.
Then..fighting, camping, fighting ,camping, camping, fighting, logging, camping, fighting, raiding, fighting, camping. Sparta disbands. Some leave saying wish this was handled diffrent. Some leave saying a pox on all your houses. Some are just logging in off of vacation saying What the hell happened?.
Now its a lot of what if's, who did whats and the fighting will continue. Some friendships will be mended, some will not.
